Who says fashion can't be both fun and meaningful? Whatever may be going on in a woman's life, it's nice to know that she can do something to uplift her own spirit just through the clothes and accessories she chooses to wear. It's empowering to be a woman today; with so many options in life, there's nothing a woman is limited by. Even women living with cancers like mesothelioma, which can really wreak havoc on a woman's self-esteem and self-image, can attest to the powers of fashion to heal the spirit.
Accessories in particular can make any boring old outfit stand out and feel truly special. Everyday is one that we should embrace fully, whether we are suffering from cancer or just having a bad day. All women can learn from each other's daily struggles. Women surviving mesothelioma must struggle daily to regain energy, and repair the damage that has been done to their physical and spiritual selves.
What would be better than using fashion to feel empowered and in control? With men's accessories, which are gaining a lot of popularity, a woman can really play with her femininity and creativity. You can pair a whimsical skirt with a well-ironed button-up and complete the look with nothing other than a bow tie! How fun would it be to take a man's accessory and jazz it up with something women are expected and accustomed to wearing on a daily basis?
Women dressing up in men’s wear are now viewed as very sexy. The opposite wouldn't be as easy to say for men. Not only do women have many options within traditional female clothing and accessories, they can branch out into men's wear and still look fabulous pulling it off.
This kind of versatility and freedom of expression empowers women of all ages to revel in their unique beauty and value as people. Fashion isn't just for the runways, it is a way that women can express who they are and how they are feeling and also improve their own moods. On any given day, a woman can decide to wake up and put on a bow tie and make heads turn.
